The YUiverse is an imagined space and visualization where the world is a reflection of the person. From the colours, style and plants the art depicts abstract creations from life experiences, dreams and memories. Often depicting experiences from Yucan Sparkle’s life, the goal is to open the space for the community to create their own vision of the YUniverse. The core magic and energy of the YUniverse comes from creativity, collecting experiences and memories in order to add something new to the world. Further, focusing on the sacred interwoven connection between the environment and human forms.

As a queer, women owned business and independent artist we place great value on creativity, freedom of expression and supporting our community. We make art in connection with environment so we often create by up cycling and minimizing waste with small batch production and made to order creations. We are radically pro-transgender, proudly queer, environmentalists, and value artists. Freedom of expression is more than just being allowed to create, for us it’s about the freedom to live, love, and enjoy your best life. We are here to be our authentic selves and grow to flourish along the journey.

An easy way to get involved is simply to share or invite a friend. The YUniverse is live Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7pm EST on twitch.tv/yucansparkle. We also run special events, polls and art streams showing some of the behind the scenes. The YUniverse section of the website post community activities and our social media shares updates. We love seeing your creations and greatly appreciate your enthusiasm for our work.

We are an openly queer welcoming space and we believe that is a space free from harassment, discrimination, racism, homophobia, ableism and misogyny.

We are human, imperfectly perfect so if you have a suggestion or need support in accessing the YUniverse, website or streams please contact us. Most of our streams have live captions on screen, these are not always perfect but a way to make a more accessible space. There is also moderation and filtering on stream to help keep the community space a safe and welcoming place. Our goal is to lead by example, being openly queer and stepping forward so others can be comfortable being themselves. Remember to protect your privacy and only share to your comfort level .

We continue to work on new ways to create with sustainability and be environmentally conscious. Most of our products are made in small batches or are made upon order to reduce waste. Often we include up-cycling and re-purposed left over materials from previous projects in production.

Nature, sustainability and material choices are often key influences in the design direction. For our designs we sometimes visit and document nature while also collecting and harvesting natural materials for a projects as local as we can. For packaging we use more bio degradable materials when possible since we want to make sure larger pieces arrive safely.

We are happy to work on finding what works best for you, so while our website already has various payment options and methods contact us if you have a question. If you are interested in an artwork we can have a chat to answer questions and share more of the story behind the work. Often we can briefly put a work on hold for you so you while you make a decision. For some commissions or for paying with a plan we may require an initial investment to reserve your art. Certain products or offerings have specialized agreements, mainly for commissions and custom creations. For surprise style commissions there are no refunds once started. For other commissions and custom creations there is a set termination fee for the work that was completed. If your project has not been started then we are happy to see how we can support you and offer a full refund.

We have options for licensing artwork, renting or leasing for display and commercial art commissions. As these options and prices vary, please share your goals so we can curate some options for you. We start with an inquiry, then book a chat to share options and discover what works best for you.

We offer several options for shipping. If you are local to the southern Ontario region local delivery may be better to keep your work safe. If we have to ship the artwork to you currently shipping is an addition as each order mainly for larger pieces requires greater care. We discuss options and find what method works best for you. If you are international shipping is an addition and note that any duties and taxes are your responsibility.

We offer custom artwork and commissions. Some commissions are surprise where after the initial discussion you only see it upon completion.

For most commissions and custom creations our process looks something like this:

-You share some initial information of what you’re looking to commission (medium, size, the space you want it to go in).

-We then book a chat to show some options, learn more about the designs you’re looking for and create an agreement.

-Next we share some drafts for your project and select the one you love.

-From there production begins and you get periodic updates for feedback as the work progresses.

-Finally we share the finished piece and package it to take to your home.
