This was my journey from:
The person who was unaware of themself, pretended to be small for others & felt they were never enough:
—-> To the person who chose to turn their life around, be unapologetically true to self, to find self love & embrace their weird and wonderful with passion!

People are taken aback when I talk about leaving engineering & design awards to get an art degree instead; a pivotal turning point in my journey to be true to self. Creativity was my enjoyment, & it is in everything from problem solving to painting. Creating was healing for myself, the freedom to build myself back up when most people told me to ‘give up’ or ‘that’s a bad idea’.
In a period when I had everything from mental health distress, to physical unrest from prescriptions that left me struggling to walk & told that’s just how my life would be.
I reached a choice: I could keep myself small & go mute when no one listened or: decide to own who I was, where I’m at & get loud, expressive & be my ideal self.
I got loud & proud about honouring my journey & finding self love in flaws & all!
When I decided to honour my worth, express myself & own my power I changed my whole world. From coming out of closets, mental & physical health upsets to: Rocking my freak flag, self love & expression with a passion!
